The Week That Delivered a Three-Month Plan

A production company was seven days out from a live worldwide stream. This was a keynote event with sitting and former world leaders on the speaker roster, 10,000 concurrent viewers projected, and press coverage lined up. Their previous IT integrator had been engaged for a three-month build: streaming pipeline, event site, security posture, and CDN configuration. Seven days before broadcast, the integrator walked off the project citing scope disputes.

They called us Monday morning. By Friday, the production company had a production-tested Vimeo Live encoder pipeline with redundant uplinks, a Cloudflare-fronted event site with global edge caching so viewers loaded the player from the nearest region regardless of country, DDoS protection turned on, TLS locked to modern ciphers, and the specific security posture the speaker security teams required. Livestream chat, viewer analytics, and captioning were tested end-to-end by Saturday.
